This is 100 Most Influential Hispanics…this isn’t even a quarter of the success that hispanics carry…..

Sadly, minorities especially hispanics and latinos seem to carry the stigma that we’re not smart, that all we do is live on stamps. Fuck you. The Hispanic population tops around 50 million in the U.S. And we are damn hard working people.

From the gardener to Sonia Sotomayor a justice of the Supreme Court, hispanics carry a very important role in the United States. My mother alone is a woman to look up to. She came from a very poor family, no one believed she’d ever get to college because of money, shit people would make fun of the fact that she even had the dream of going to college. Not only did she go to college, she went to one of the best universities in Juarez, Mexico where she was living and her family didn’t pay one cent and she made sure of that…she did it all on a scholarship that she earned herself.

Today my mother is a proud owner of several businesses, creating jobs for many people; and on the side she also went on to studying again, so far she’s a computer technician and she’s on her way to going into a computer science degree.

Your gardener, electrician, the hispanics who pick your fruits and vegetables, the hispanics who do the hard jobs because you stuck up white “Americans” are too good for that and seem to think it’s fine to make fun of these hard workers…are all examples of how hispanics have carried the United States.

If you’re a minority, don’t ever let anyone tell you you’re not worth shit in this country. No one belongs to this country, everyone is an immigrant…and everyone has the same chances of making it in this country.
